FreeNAS 11.0 Installation Tutorial

Hello everyone, today I am going to show you how to install FreeNAS 11.0. FreeNAS 11.0 has been released a while a go with so many improvements. Its a huge fix to the previous FreeNAS 10 Corral that was not too good to be used. The new FreeNAS 11.0 introduce the new user interface that is more stable than FreeNAS 10. 

FreeNAS 11.0 Installation Steps

Step 1. Download FreeNAS 11.0 ISO

Step 2. Boot your computer or virtual machine using the ISO

Select FreeNAS Installer to start the installation process immediately.

Step 2. Install Process

If this is your first installation, select number 1 and press Enter. 

Step 3. Select Installation Destination

Select the disk where FreeNAS 11.0 will be installed. In this example, I have several disks connected to my FreeNAS.

Step 4. Select Install Method

In this example, I want to perform Fresh Install. You may upgrade your existing FreeNAS if you have it.

Step 5. Boot device installation

Step 6. Installation Confirmation

Step 7. Create root password

Step 8. Select Boot Mode

Step 9. Installation process

The installation will started and it take some times to complete. Reboot your server when finished.
